10 10 Things I Want in Season 5
(cut for length)

1)1) MOAR BROTHERTOUCHING. Hugs, sewing each other up, clutching, poking, affectionate swats on the head, comforting hands on shoulders. WHATEVER. I want brothertouching that isn’t beating each other up.

In retrospect, I probably should have realized season 4 was gonna be gutwrenching, because we got all that awesome brothertouching early on in the first episode. Handholding! Hugging! Now that should last you through the season as we tear Sam and Dean apart.

2)      Sam getting kidnapped/lost/whatever, and Dean running around yelling, “SAMMY!!” I am a woman of simple tastes.

3)      Bodyswap episode. Yes, everyone else wants this, but it really would be hilarious. Jared and Jensen could pull it off hilariously. Also, they could have Dean-in-Sam’s-body realizing what it’s like to deal with the demon blood addition. SEE? A way to have body swap and still have it fit into the overall arc!

4)      Anna kicking Castiel’s ass. Because Anna is so much more awesome than Castiel, and because Castiel totally deserves it after pulling that bitch move and betraying Anna to the angelic Gestapo.  And hell, more Anna in general. (Just not having hilarious Titanic-esque sex with Dean, kthnx.)

5)      A non-ironic use of the song “He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother.” Yes, I know, it’s EXTREMELY anvilicious. But when has that stopped the show before? And it really is the perfect song. <3

“The road is long
With many a winding turn
That leads us to who knows where
Who knows when
But I'm strong
Strong enough to carry him
He ain't heavy, he's my brother

So on we go”

See? SEE?! In fact, if they ended the show with that song and Sam and Dean driving off into the sunset, I would die happy. HAPPY.

6)      MOAR IMPALA PORN. Like the opening scene in Bloodlust? Exactly like that. Cuz baby’s beautiful and she loves her boys and she could use some more appreciation.

7)      Less crying from Dean. Yes Dean, I love you, but at a certain point, your emo tears of guilt and despair just became loltastic.

8)      Less Castiel. I am just meh about the character in general, much as I adore Misha Collins. (Maybe a little less Bobby too. Just a little bit. He was in a lot of episodes last season. *is killed and eaten by fangirls*)

9)      The return of “Jerk” and “Bitch.” Just more brotherly banter in general. We actually got quite a few good brother moments last season, like the rock, paper, scissors in Jump the Shark. I JUST LIKE BROTHERS ACTING LIKE BROTHERS <s>who are lovers</s> OKAY??

10)   FOR EVERYTHING TO BE ALL RIGHT. I want Sam and Dean alive and whole and happy with each other and driving off into the sunset. I don’t care if everyone else has to die, that’s what I want.

Most of these are actually pretty similar and can probably be summed up as: Sam and Dean gaze soulfully into each other’s eyes*. And maybe slow dance a little bit.

*I love that when Chuck is narrating Sam and Dean’s actions in The Monster at the End of This Book, he actually says they “gazed soulfully” at each other. HAY CHUCK/KRIPKE/ET AL, THAT’S WHY WE SHIP WINCEST.

And yep. That’s what I want in season five.

And y’all?

SO DOES YOUR MOM.

...actually.

She thinks it's gross, but that it makes sense.
Close enough.

Huh.
I've never broached the subject with my mother, but she does seem concerned by Sam and Dean's... closeness. "They need to find a pair of girls to settle down with."

But then she'll also say stuff like this:
My little sister: What if they had Sam and Dean action figures!
My mom: *miming playing with action figures* Oh Dean! Kiss me! Kiss me Sam! *making out noises*

And she and my dad make comments along those lines whenever we watch Shadow, Croatoan, or A Very Supernatural Christmas.

So, idk. *is disturbed by her parents*

I wonder if Dean would fit in Barbie's princess playhouse.
