Little known fact about me: I actually had a livejournal when I was 15/16. I mainly used it for Harry Potter purposes and then got bored of livejournal and abandoned it like midway through my junior year. I remembered just now what the name of the journal is. I also figured out the password. And, just, I have no words. 

It's not like anything is bad, per se. It's just that I feel like a totally different person from then. Looking over the journal entries, I can kind of see the person I am today, but it's like looking at some intermediary lifeform- an evolutionary link.

I know two and a half years isn't that long a time but when you're talking about mid/late teens it really is forever. And the old me seems so strangely immature compared to people on my current f-list who are the age now that I was then!

But the good thing is- I have quite a few Harry Potter fics memmed as well as some of the first SPN fics I ever read. All the wincest ones have been locked for my eyes only though, because I think I was just getting into wincest then and ZOMG SO ASHAMED.

(As for the fic I posted...I haven't yet had the courage to read it.)

I didn't know that there was a reccing comm for that particular pairing, but I'm not really surprised.
I do know though that there's no reccing comm for Sam/Dean only and that's kinda sad. A lot of the recs @ sawedoff_recs are Sam/Dean but still, that's not really the same.
We must change that... *nods*

I totally agree with you. Sam/Dean can't be any less of Dean/Castiel considering that they are canon.

Yeah I feel that both Sawedoff recs and Crack_Impala are big on Sam/Dean to the point that I think that they lead to the creation of Rec_Hymenated or whatever. But there still should be interest, I think.

Lol, old journal entries. I've had my journal for probably six years now, and I'm not sure I have the fortitude to go back and read stuff from the very beginning because I know a lot of it is stupid, whiny, emo crap.

Also, it is weird that Sam/Dean has no rec comm considering how long the pairing has been popular. There are a lot of rec lists out there and stuff, but you'd think someone would have made a comm by this point.

LOL But the funny thing is- I was just a little younger than you are now. It's not a very active journal (there's like a four month gap in one place) but it covered part of my sophomore/the first half of my junior year.

This is true! And it looks like the SPN/RPF divide is somewhat even.

It is kind of hilarious. It really is like an embryonic version of me. I bitch about how I start essays at 4 am and about how busy I am and I talk a lot about how Remus/Sirius are OTP. Plus I even have a bizarre pet het pairing!

I think Dean/Cas got their own reccing comm because Crack_Impala and Sawed Off recs have a lot of Sam/Dean, and they wanted a place of their own.
