I voted for non-AU, but I also really like the superhero idea. I just didn't vote for it because my rpf big bang is going to be based off of Iron Man, and I am selfish and want to be the only superhero-y one. But I do really like your superhero idea, so don't let me sway you.

I finally chose the Superheroes one because a) they are waiters, and the opportunities for snark and humor in such a setting please me greatly, b) Misha! Makes me think of Lex Luthor! Except less rich! And with more hair! And exclamation marks! c) Superhero Jared! What is his superpower? PUPPY POWER. Or perhaps over-active sweat glands.
Not to mention your focus in this story is a totally amazing angle and I love love love it.

All of your ideas are fascinating, of course, not only the outlines of the stories themselves but the concepts you want to explore therein.

I was just going to end it ambiguously, but with it leaning towards Jensen getting together with Jared BECAUSE I AM A BAD PERSON. It was going to be structured around the form of a five act play, but instead of the ending being clearly happy (a comedy) or sad (tragedy), I was going to leave it open and painful but hopeful, because that's more how life works.

But it's FIC (not like life works anyway) so you can totally be a nice girl and give us a happy ending. ;P

I'd also love to read the space AU because this - "And they become international space fugitives together." - is something which needs to be written. And this whole "Come with me!" theme would make it easy to create an amazing fic mix, right? :D (*Mwhahaha* - although the vid fits more to the superhero idea...)

okay, so i like both your au ideas but i have SUCH AN INTENSE LOVE for non-au that i had to vote for that - especially since the premise sounds REALLY GOOD. and these days, barely anyone writes non-au because a) they think they're going to be labeled tinhats, b) they feel weird about it and gravitate towards au, c) they write crappy non-au and treat the female characters badly - in which case it's shit fic and i regret reading them at all.

BUT. i have all confidence that scenario a) and c) don't apply to you at all, and the fact that you have this awesomesauce conv with them discussing margialisation of female characters, etc just has me REALLY REALLY PSYCHED.

i also have MAJOR LOVE for ambiguous endings [when done well, and not because the author got lazy, natch] so that sounds terrific.

plus, there was just a BB fic posted about jensen being married to a superhero, so i'm kind of over that right now? obviously that's just me :P
