I made the Dean's List! :D

Of course, getting the letter this morning meant my parents wanted to see my grades, so, I, uh finally looked up my grades from last quarter! And I'm kind of shocked, guys. I should not have done that well during a quarter where I spent an entire month depressed, broke down on one of my professors, and turned in a paper three weeks late. (None of these things having to do with school-related stress, just a general feeling of omg why is everything in the world awful, particularly me? ;_; )

Still. There is room for improvement. This was a lazy year. So! Next year:

1) Get even better grades
2) Get involved in more student activities
3) Get a job
4) Learn how to operate without sleep.

Oh, and Duke University wants a sample of my DNA. Cool beans. 

(And now my parents are proud of me. OMGYAY EXTERNAL VALIDATION FROM FIGURES OF AUTHORITY.)

(Yeah! No one really knew, except for my hum professor who I broke down on. But at one point I didn't even leave my room for two days except to go to dinner. /o\ Though I told a couple people afterwards and, idk. I guess I'll talk to people if it happens again. BUT I'M BETTER NOW YAY!)

(My almost-a-fourth-year (oh god) words of advice are please do! I don't know if it's the school or something else but depression and stuff is surprisingly common and isolation never helped anyone I know. So talk to us! Depression is sucky, you shouldn't have to deal by yourself.)
