OH HAY. BACK FROM CAMP. HAD A BLAST. SLEPT LIKE FOUR OR FIVE HOURS A NIGHT.  AM EXHAUSTED.   HEARTBROKEN OVER WORLD CUP.  HAVE STARTED WATCHING AMERICAN MAJOR LEAGUE SOCCER. HAVE WRITTEN OVER 4000 WORDS SINCE COMING HOME.[Poll #1588493]

My argument: Remus/Sirius.

Both have awful childhoods. As a couple (if you accept that they're a couple), they're broken apart by distrust during a time in which all their friends are dying, spend most of their adult lives alone- one as a prisoner in Azkaban, the other poverty stricken and ostracized by society, only, after being briefly reunited, to both die relatively young. Sam/Dean, at least, still have the possibility of a happy ending, and, since they're the heroes of their text, are pretty likely to get that happy ending.

Fucking your brother isn't a happy ending. At least Remus and Sirius end up in an afterworld that is posited as being pretty cool and happy. Sam and Dean's  lives are unremittingly bleak and tragic. Neither of them have a childhood, every time they have something good, it's ripped away from them. They're forced to watch the most important person in their life (each other) die or betray them again and again. Also? the S5 season finale.

ALSO. I HAVE JUST REALIZED, TONKS=LISA, TEDDY=BEN. SIRIUS WANTED REMUS TO HAVE A CHANCE AT HAPPINESS. *flail* *spazz*

I'm on the R/S side. Because, as it has been said many times, they never really got a a shot at happiness. Even their happy times (when they were at school) were tainted by badness. The Winchesters got their normalcy (in the fucked up Winchester way, but nonetheless). I don't know, it just doesn't feel the same.

sirius and remus befriend each other and then think they're both traitors. sirius spends most of his life in azkaban, only to escape and die a few years later DUE TO A FUCKING CURTAIN. MOST TRAGIC LOVE STORY OF ALL. not to mention the crazy pain remus has to go through EVERY MONTH due to his lycanthropy.

Do you listen to audiobooks, ever? I actually didn't even physically READ the last two books of the HP series, just listened to the audiobooks. They are AWESOME *_* If you're interested, I can PM you the DL links and you can load 'em up on your iPod and away you go~

I'm an audiobook/podcast junkie XD 99.9% of the time, I'm listening to a book or podcast on my iPod instead of music :P I've recently started getting into podfic, as well. I just love being able to "read" all the time; standing in line at the cafe, sitting on the bus, doing laundry, whenever~

You know, I actually haven't listened to an audiobook since I was a kid. That seems like it would be really convenient, though, for times when I feel like I don't have time to actually read (which is probably just an excuse but >_>). Exactly! I don't read as often as I'd like to and that's the problem. Like, I sit down to do it and something distracts me, but you can listen anywhere while doing whatever else ya gotta do. ;)
