My argument: Remus/Sirius.

Both have awful childhoods. As a couple (if you accept that they're a couple), they're broken apart by distrust during a time in which all their friends are dying, spend most of their adult lives alone- one as a prisoner in Azkaban, the other poverty stricken and ostracized by society, only, after being briefly reunited, to both die relatively young. Sam/Dean, at least, still have the possibility of a happy ending, and, since they're the heroes of their text, are pretty likely to get that happy ending.

Fucking your brother isn't a happy ending. At least Remus and Sirius end up in an afterworld that is posited as being pretty cool and happy. Sam and Dean's  lives are unremittingly bleak and tragic. Neither of them have a childhood, every time they have something good, it's ripped away from them. They're forced to watch the most important person in their life (each other) die or betray them again and again. Also? the S5 season finale.

ALSO. I HAVE JUST REALIZED, TONKS=LISA, TEDDY=BEN. SIRIUS WANTED REMUS TO HAVE A CHANCE AT HAPPINESS. *flail* *spazz*

It's the tragedy of knowing what could have been ;_______; Like, yeah, they were happy in their Marauder days, but it was so fleeting and short and then twelve years of crushing isolation followed by just ONE YEAR of being together (but not really 'cause Remus had to go off and do Important Things while Sirius moped around under house arrest) and then a;dkfa;lsd;alskdglhk FUCK YOU, ROWLING ;______;
